Ms. Sasaki founded Unicul International, Inc.
in 1987 as an international communication consultancy. She received
the New Business Association's Entrepreneur Award in 1988.
She also founded the Network for Aspiring Professional Women (NAPW)
in 1989 and serves as the current chairwoman.
Ms. Sasaki was chosen as one of the thirteen most successful women
in Japan to lunch with U.S. First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton
during her trip to Japan in April 1996. Also in 1996, she started
the International Conference for Women in Business. She was president
of the Japanese chapter of the Young Entrepreneurs' Organization
(YEO) in 1997 and 1998.
Ms. Sasaki is known for her magazine articles and newspaper columns,
books, lectures and committee work in relation to international,
women's, networking, internet and regulatory issues.
Her published work includes "You Can Still Work When You're
Pregnant" (Wave Shuppan), and "The Give & Given
Concept" (Just System Shuppan). She translated "Only
the Paranoid Survive" by Andrew Grove, CEO of Intel Corporation
(Shichiken Shuppan), "Clicking/17 Trends that drive your
business and life" by Faith Popcorn, Chairman of Brain Reserve.
In 2000, she founded eWoman, Inc. and became president and CEO.
The community site www.ewoman.co.jp is a site for women of all
ages. Ms. Sasaki is married and has two children. She lives in
Tokyo.
